Perry W. Watson, JR. AIA, NCARB

As a registered Architect, and Managing Member of YWA, LLC, Perry has more than 40 years of hands-on design and technical experience with all facets of professional practice. His extensive design experience in educational, institutional, research, industrial and religious work give him strengths in planning, design, budgeting and coordinating large multi-project construction programs. Perry is also effective in assigning and managing in-house personnel and consultants on both large and small projects.
 

As the firm’s principal and Managing Member, Perry is significantly involved in each project from its inception by performing: the initial programming, budgeting, conceptual design and development, and specification writing. Perry then serves as the overall project coordinator and public liaison for YWA’s client base.
 

Perry typically initiates each project by taking on the role of design director during the preliminary design phase, and then works closely with the individual project manager, team and consultants to transition the project into construction documents. He has served as the initial designer for YWA projects for the past 20 years.
 

To stay current with the changing architectural and construction practices in education design, Perry attends the yearly National EdSpaces Conference, as well as completing various pertinent continuing education courses annually.
